In this example, the maais Assistant was assigned the identity of an insurance advisor exclusively working for a particular insurance company. The chatbot has detailed information about the insurance offerings of the respective company.
Detailed Questions
The maais Assistant can even answer detailed customer or employee inquiries. Information is gathered from a pool of data and provided as context individually each time. Thus, the chatbot always has all the necessary information to answer the question.
Seamless Integration and Easy Access
The maais Assistant seamlessly integrates into the WhatsApp ecosystem and utilizes all relevant functions of the Cloud API.
The user doesn't need to install anything. They only require WhatsApp and direct or indirect access to the registered phone number. This can be done through one of the following methods:
Access via a QR Code
Access via a web link
Access by manually entering the phone number
Processing Different Media
Text messages, voice messages, images, and PDF documents can be processed.
Text and voice messages are answered directly. For images and documents, various processing options can be configured, which the user can select from.
PayPal Integration and AI Identity
By assigning an identity, we can influence the behaviors of the AI of the maais Assistant. The Assistant can only answer questions about the products, actively recommend products, or sell products.
The latter is enabled through a PayPal integration. The user receives a PayPal link, which opens the PayPal app or the PayPal website. After completing the payment, the user is redirected back to the chatbot and receives their payment confirmation. The order is captured.
Within the maais Assistant, we have implemented a two-step login process.
In the first step, the user must register via email.
In the second step, the user must actively confirm that they are aware they are currently interacting with an AI. Afterwards, the user has access to the chatbot.
In addition to the two-step login process, consumption limits per day/week/month/year have been set to serve cost control purposes.
Furthermore, the maais Assistant features an authorization concept in which each user is assigned a role, granting them access to different functions of the chatbot.

Registration via Email
Upon initial contact with the chatbot, the user is asked for their email address. After entering the address, a confirmation link is sent to the user via email. Once the user has confirmed it, they are granted access to the maais Assistant.
Confirmation of the Disclaimer
The disclaimer must be confirmed in natural language. This principle ensures high scalability and can thus be transferred to other chat applications.
User feedback is crucial for the continuous improvement of the maais Assistant.
To achieve this, maais utilizes the standard emoji reaction function of the chat applications. With this, the user can react to the messages of the chatbot while also providing a rating. This rating can then be used for quality enhancement.
